2026 Food Safety Request for Proposals

The Meat Foundation is a nonprofit research, education, and scholarship foundation with a mission to advance scientific understanding, cultivate future leaders, and support continuous improvement in the meat industry. The Foundation invites preproposals to targeting critical food safety needs. The Foundation developed these research priorities to reflect urgent industry needs.

Proposals must be submitted on the Foundation’s website using the Research Proposal Submission Portal. Additional submission details and indirect cost policies are available on the Foundation’s website. Submit proposals by 5 p.m. ET on Monday, October 12. Awards will be announced in early 2027.
